Choose CSV for a spreadsheet
CSV is the clearer choice when you want to sort, filter or review pin details in a spreadsheet application. It is not an Excel workbook, but spreadsheet applications can open it.
Data portability
Take useful pin information into the tools you already use. Choose CSV for a spreadsheet or GPX for a compatible mapping tool. Both are Premium features, available from Settings under Export pins.
Plain-English comparison
| Format | What it means | What Remem includes | What Remem leaves out |
|---|---|---|---|
| CSV | Comma-separated values: a plain-text file that spreadsheet applications can open. | Unarchived pins, coordinates, captured or typed text, category and saved date. | The separate Notes field, archived pins, photos and recordings. |
| GPX | GPS Exchange Format: a file format used by many mapping and GPS tools. | Unarchived pins that have locations. | Pins without locations, archived pins, photos and recordings. |
Which should I choose?
Open an itinerary in Remem Web and choose Friendly print for a readable layout of its stops. Use your browser's print controls to print it or save a PDF where your browser supports that.
Open a pin to share its location and the content you choose. The web workspace also provides email export for selected pins. Review the prepared content before sending it.
CSV and GPX export ordinary unarchived pins. They do not export itineraries or the separate saved Places collection, and they are not a complete backup.
Need a fuller technical copy?
This download is separate from the CSV and GPX exports. It provides a technical copy of data stored by Remem on this device, mainly for inspection or support.
It is not a backup file. Remem cannot restore from it, so do not rely on it to recover your pins after removing the app, clearing app storage or losing a device.
Handle exported files carefully
An exported file can contain pin text, dates and precise coordinates. Once you save or share it through your device, its safety depends on the destination you choose. Check the recipient and the privacy settings of any storage, email or mapping service before sharing it.
